Bicarbonate Agriculture · Cheongju

Strawberry Farm — Dedicated Bicarbonate System

Reduced 180 ppm bicarbonate (≈2× target) with dedicated resin and spare-tank redundancy.

A dedicated bicarbonate-removal system was designed, built and installed for a strawberry farm in Cheongju. Elevated bicarbonate and pH affect nutrient-solution management and crop growth, requiring a selective treatment process.

Diagnosis

  • Bicarbonate — 180 ppm, about twice the 40–80 ppm range suitable for irrigation
  • pH — elevated

Solution — dedicated ion exchange

A dedicated ion-exchange resin selectively reduces bicarbonate, with a spare resin tank for uninterrupted operation.

Installation & commissioning

The control panel and base piping were pre-fabricated in-house and assembled on site to shorten installation time and standardize quality, followed by leak/operation commissioning.

Result
